Redoutable et redout\u00e9, il s\u00e8me la terreur dans les formations de bombardiers alli\u00e9s. Sa sup\u00e9riorit\u00e9 est telle que la Luftwaffe met un terme aux bombardements des villes Allemandes en l\u2019espace de quatre mois. C&rsquo;est \u00e0 cette \u00e9poque que le Do 335 est baptis\u00e9 \u00abla loi des airs \u00bb par les pilotes Anglais. Cette appellation fait r\u00e9f\u00e9rence \u00e0 la supr\u00e9matie sans partage du Pfeil dans les cieux europ\u00e9ens.<\/p>\n<p>Quelques ann\u00e9es plus tard, l&rsquo;ing\u00e9nieur am\u00e9ricain Richard Whitcomb reprendra cette appellation dans ses travaux sur l\u2019optimisation de la tra\u00een\u00e9e a\u00e9rodynamique. Malicieusement baptis\u00e9e \u00ab Loi des aires \u00bb, cette d\u00e9signation est un discret hommage \u00e0 la puret\u00e9 a\u00e9rodynamique du chasseur allemand.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.servimg.com\/image_preview.php?i=119&amp;u=15544942\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><img src=\"http:\/\/i44.servimg.com\/u\/f44\/15\/54\/49\/42\/do-33510.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>1946 &#8211; Une reconversion rat\u00e9e<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Le Do 335 quitte le devant de la sc\u00e8ne d\u00e8s l\u2019arriv\u00e9e des chasseurs \u00e0 r\u00e9action. Apr\u00e8s une p\u00e9riode d\u2019ind\u00e9cision, le RLM ordonne finalement la reconversion du chasseur en appareil de reconnaissance \u00e0 haute-altitude. Il \u0153uvre \u00e0 cette t\u00e2che durant quelques mois au c\u00f4t\u00e9 d\u2019un Focke-Wulf 189 obsol\u00e8te. Con\u00e7u pour la chasse, l\u2019instabilit\u00e9 naturelle et la capacit\u00e9 d\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e9ration du Pfeil p\u00e9nalise l\u2019avion dans son nouvel emploi. Pour ces raisons, il est peu appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 par les pilotes de reconnaissance qui r\u00e9clament \u00e0 cor et \u00e0 cris un jet con\u00e7u pour cette mission.<\/p>\n<p>Cette demande est finalement accept\u00e9e et les deux avions sont remplac\u00e9s par le <a href=\"http:\/\/fighters.forumactif.com\/t42755p30-focke-wulf-ta-395-a1-1-72-what-if-fini\">Focke-wulf Ta-395 A1<\/a> dans le courant de cette m\u00eame ann\u00e9e.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.servimg.com\/image_preview.php?i=122&amp;u=15544942\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><img src=\"http:\/\/i44.servimg.com\/u\/f44\/15\/54\/49\/42\/do-33513.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>1946 -1949 \u2013 Un professeur exigeant<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lors d\u2019une visite de courtoisie, le Ministre Italien des arm\u00e9s est inform\u00e9 qu\u2019un grand nombre de Dornier 335 est stock\u00e9 en Afrique du Nord. Il propose imm\u00e9diatement de les acqu\u00e9rir pour r\u00e9-\u00e9quiper ses escadres d\u2019instruction ; proposition que le gouvernement Allemand accepte volontiers.<\/p>\n<p>Dans les mois qui suivent, plusieurs dizaines de Do 335 sont transf\u00e9r\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cole de chasse de Foligno. Les Pfeil remplacent avantageusement des Fiat CR.42 \u00e0 bout de souffle. L\u2019appareil allemand se montre assez difficile \u00e0 ma\u00eetriser pour des novices.
